表示原因、理由的介詞。 1.from 表示“外部”的原因 We are weak from lack of sleep.因為缺少睡眠。我們感到乏力。 His father died from the wound.他父親因傷致死。 She felt sick from tiredness.她因疲勞而感到不舒服。 Wild animals can die from lack of food in a severe winter.野獸可能會死于饑餓，在這么寒冷 的冬天。

2.of 表示“內(nèi)部原因” She died of AIDS.她死于艾滋病。 I afraid of being late .我怕遲到。 People are dying of cancer more and more often. 死于癌癥的人越來越多了。 My grandmother died of grief soon after her husband's death.祖父去世不久, 祖母就因悲傷過度 而死了。

3.at 表示“情感”的原因。 He got angry at her words.他因她的話生氣了。 We are much surprised at the new.聽到這個消息我們感到很驚訝。 I was disappointed at his absence.他沒來讓我覺得很失望。
