一、形式主語

1. It + be + 形容詞 + for/of ... + to do

It be + difficult/easy/important/impossible/necessary(修飾事情)... for sb. to do sth. 某人做某事是……的

It be + careless/clever/foolish/silly/stupid/kind/brave(修飾人)... of sb. to do sth. 對某人來說某事是……的

It is important for me to learn a foreign language.對我來說學(xué)習(xí)一門外語是重要的。

It is kind of you to help me. 你能幫助我真的是太好了。

2. It + be +名詞詞組 + to do

常用名詞詞組：a pity, a fact, a shame, an honor, a question

It’s a pity to leave so early. 這么早真是太遺憾了。

3. It + takes (sb.)+ 時(shí)間(金錢)+ to do

It will take a whole day to get to the top of the mountain on foot. 步行將花費(fèi)一整天時(shí)間到達(dá)山頂。

④ It is no good (no use, useless)+doing sth. 做…是沒有好處的/沒有用的

It is no good smoking too much cigarette. 抽太多煙是沒有好處的。

二、There be 句型

1. There is no need for sb. to do sth. 沒必要做某事

There is no need for us to argue about the matter any longer. 對我們來說爭論這件事是沒有必要的。

2. There is no point/sense in doing sth. 做某事沒有意義

There is no point/sense in doing like this, so he will never change his mind. 像這樣做是沒有意義的，所以他不會改變他的想法。

3. There’s no doubt of sth./that... 毫無疑問……

There is no doubt of his success. 毫無疑問他一定會成功。

三、其他

1. the more...the more... 越……越……

The more tickets you sell, the more money you will get. 你賣越多的票，你就會賺越多的錢。

2. When it comes to... 當(dāng)談到……

When it comes to repairing machines, I have no knowledge of it. 說到修機(jī)器，我一無所知。

3. It is/was the first time that sb. have/has/had done sth. 是某人第一次做……

It’s the first time that I have studied abroad. 這是我第一次出國。

4. A is to B what C is to D. A 對 B 而言就像 C 對 D 一樣……

Air is to man what water is to fish. 空氣對人來說就像水對魚一樣。

5. do one’s best / make every effort to do 竭盡全力

We students should do one’s best / make every effort to study. 我們學(xué)生應(yīng)該竭盡全力去學(xué)習(xí)。

6. Hardly…when… / No sooner…than… / Scarcely…when… 一……就……

Hardly had he arrived home when it began to rain. 他一到家就開始下雨了。

7. It’s (high) time (that) sb. did/should do sth. 是該做……的時(shí)候了

It’s time we went to school. 是時(shí)候該去學(xué)校了。

8. be about to do sth when 正打算做某事突然……

He was about to go out when the telephone rang. 電話響的時(shí)候我正打算出去。

9. It happened that… 碰巧……

It happened that I knew the person you mentioned just now. 碰巧我認(rèn)識你剛剛提到的那個(gè)人。

10. would rather do sth. than do sth. = would do sth. rather than do sth. = prefer to do sth. rather than do sth. = prefer doing sth. to doing sth.寧愿做……而不愿做……

I would rather remain poor than get money by dishonest way. 我寧愿貧困也不愿通過不誠實(shí)的方式來獲得財(cái)富。

11. too 句型

(1) too…to…太……而不能……

Politics is too important to be left to the politicians. 政治太重要了，不能交給政客們處理。

(2) can’t … too +形容詞 無論……也不為過

You can not be too careful. 你再小心也不為過。

12. as we all know / as is known to all 眾所周知

As we all know, China is developing rapidly. 眾所周知，中國正在飛速發(fā)展。
